Christmas 2025

I just had my first Christmas at my new spot, FCI (low) Bastrop. I must admit, it was pretty good. First we had a very nice meal in the Chow Hall; the best I've had since Three Rivers. They gave us some ham and a Game Hen with some vegies and such, but the topper was the ice-cream chocolate pie they gave, good stuff, that. Then the fellas cooked up some food in the Cell-block and it too was good. Point is, I ate like a king ... well, a prison king anyway. No complaints from me. 

My family came to see me the weekend before Christmas ... don't know what I ever did to deserve 'em, they're great! 

I am well and very grateful for this spot. VERY grateful. Yeah, some of the guys complain about it, but I just ignore it and chalk it up to one of two things. First: it is human nature to complain about things, so I just figure they must be unhappy inside; glass half-empty thing. Second: some of these guys have never been anywhere else, so they don't know how good they actually have it. Trust me, this place is a nice mellow spot. I am happy.

Well, I hope and wish that everyone, every where, had a nice Christmas and that you have a good New Year. 

"New Year", new opportunity ... so look for it.
